Hello, Cathy, and welcome to Simply Tiffany Studios! As a big fan of your work, I’m so excited to have a little “sit down” chat with you. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you began digital scrapbooking?
Hello! I am so honored to be interviewed! I am a mom of two lovely girls and wife to an indie video game developer. Recently, I became a creative business owner of Catshy Crafts, an online shop. It is truly my baby. I design and create everything for the shop, from business cards to my hand-embroidered pieces to my website.
After taking the summer off from weekly video tutorials to concentrate on the launch of Scrapaneers, I’m SO excited to be back in the tutorial room creating weekly vids for y’all! My homies.
This week’s video begins the start of something new and extremely cool! The video series are now sponsored by digital enthusiasts and companies around the web, which allows me to provide more in-depth content — something I KNOW you’ll love.
Hello, Leontien, and welcome to Simply Tiffany Studios! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you began digital scrapbooking?
I’m from the Netherlands where I live with my husband and 4.5-year-old son. I’m a fontaholic and love photography.
I started digi scrapping in 2008 when my son was born. The first year wasn’t easy (he didn’t sleep much and cried a LOT!). To keep me sane and occupied with something else other than feeding and trying to soothe him I would scrap in the few short naps he would take.
Your screen name is Jippo. Does that have anything to do with the Finnish football club?
Hello, Chris, and welcome to Simply Tiffany Studios! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hi, my name is Chris Asbury, aka casbury in digi-world. I’m from Northern California and live in Livermore (California’s ‘other’ Wine Country), with my husband, son and two dogs. Since my son graduated from college just a few weeks ago, my husband and I will soon be official empty nesters with just two aging dogs to keep us company. We also have two married daughters living in SoCal and two adorable granddaughters.
How did you get started in digital scrapbooking?
I began scrapbooking in 2005 out of a need to organize my ever growing stash of photographs and memorabilia and to make some sense of order. I also believe that if you save something just to store it away it has no purpose. Why not see it, use it or share it? I was only familiar with paper scrapping at the time and became instantly obsessed with all things scrapbooking. I amassed a colorful array of supplies that would be left behind in two years when I discovered digital scrapping.
If you would have told me earlier this year that my workshops would have a new home by mid-year, I would have called you a liar, hitched my skirt up, and ran away! But in the end, you’d have been right!
Hello and welcome to Simply Tiffany Studios! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hi! I live in Encinitas, California with my five children and “gamer” husband. I have been scrapbooking ever since 2003 shortly after my son, Kody, was born. I started out with traditional paper scrapbooking and a layout called “Bubble Time.” Years and two sets of twins later I’m now a digital scrapbooker and designer.
What three words would you use to characterize your current style?
Hmmm… If I were to pick three words to describe my scrapbooking style they would have to be:
Hello, Marjoleine, and welcome to Simply Tiffany Studios! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you became a digital scrapper?
Hi! My name is Marjoleine Hest (misses M in digi-land), and I’m from the Netherlands. I will be 40 years old this June (*gasp*). My guy and I have two girls. My oldest, Eveline, is 13-years-old and my youngest, Mara, is 3-years-old.
I have been scrapping for a year now. I still can’t believe how fast everything has gone. When I started, I posted my layouts on a blog and there I met Maaike from Find Your Bliss Designs (also a Dutchie but I didn’t know that at first). She convinced me to post in galleries and store galleries. I was very insecure at that time and told her she was nuts, but I still did it anyway, and I have never looked back. I’m still grateful for her trust in me and for her “pushing” to post in galleries. She’s one awesome girl!
