Brushshop is Back | Win a Bamboo Create
The very first online class I taught was Photoshop Brushshop back in 2009. And she introduced me to hundreds and hundreds of digital scrapbookers who were Brush tool fanatics — just like me. I retired the series in 2010 but STILL receive questions about the tool like:
- How do you use the Brush tool with shape/brush dynamics?
- Is a pen tool really necessary to create brush effects?
- How do you draw your doodles using the brush?
- What’s your processes for scanning brushes into Photoshop/Elements?
- How did you do that [insert brush-inspired technique here]?
I’m proud to announce all of those questions will finally be answered because the updated Brushshop series is back, baby! And we’re going to start with the Basics, Distressing and Artistry.
For the Newcomers
Brushshop begins with the basics of the tool, like how to use the Options Bar, Preset Manager and panels. From there, your skills will gradually increase as you’ll learn my latest techniques for mastering the tool and finally building two brush-heavy artistic layouts. You’ll learn all about sanding, misting, inking, and destroying plus how I gather brushes and build intricate page masks for photos and background paper.
Most of the lessons are delivered in video format but I also cover topics and answer your questions live via 6 webinars. The live webinars are recorded if you can’t make it. Visit the Brushshop registration page for more information.
For the Alumni
The Brush tool remains one of Adobe’s ever-evolving tools. Some of the tricks I taught to you years ago are now irrelevant and there are some that are brand new. Alumni will benefit from jumping back into the classroom for updates using cursor settings and shortcuts plus the 6 new Artistry lessons.
You’ll also create two new brush-inspired layouts using my latest bag of tricks. The best part is the price for alumni registration is only $10! Visit the Brushshop alumni registration page for more information. Note: You must be logged-in to reneepearson.com to see the alumni upgrade.
Register Today & Save $15
Newcomers who register before October 14th will receive $5 off the cost of enrollment. Be one of the first 50 to enroll and you’ll also receive a $10 coupon towards products at Design House Digital on the first day of class. That’s a $15 savings! All other enrollees will receive a $5 coupon on the first day of class.

I am an alumni and simply could not scrap without the use of brushes!

I use PSE and have been scrapbooking for about 2 years. I’ve taken your elements class and learned a bunch. I use brushes sometimes but not to their full potential. So I’ve signed up for your brush class and can’t wait to start!

It can never hurt to increase you knowledge base

Oh, Tiffany. I tried understanding brushes before but felt too intimidated. Now that I’m no longer a “beginner” digi scrapper but more a “just enough to be dangerous” one I’d love to learn. Maybe that would promote me to an intermediate scrapper, LOL!

I’m really looking forward to this class. I’ve really only used brushes like stamps. I love the looking of the distressed elements and the misting effect that you showed on the Renee TV chat and am champing at the bit to learn how to achieve them myself!

I’m new to Brushshop, but looking forward to learning a lot more about how to use the brush tool in Photoshop!
